When we craft reputation management plans for our clients, we often are forced to address issues that are complex, murky, and require a tremendous amount of research to understand. So, our mission becomes to create focused messages that make the complex clear. The “art of reduction” as we sometimes call it.
Among the most efficient ways to create these focused messages is to simply separate what is true from what isn’t. I encountered a textbook example of this on the United Soybean Board’s blog recently. The post clearly explains the benefits of biotech farming and its positive impact on food safety and biodiversity, while dispelling myths suggesting that biotechnology and sustainability are incompatible.
The blog certainly is worth a look.
