The Renaissance in Vivid Digital Detail

I wish I had a trip planned to Amsterdam. An unusual art show is about to open at the stock exchange—”remastered” prints of Rembrandt’s complete works. The images have been computer-corrected, apparently. The colors on display are as the artist intended versus what we see on the originals hundreds of years later.

No, seeing what amounts to posters (admittedly expensive, hand-crafted posters) of these famous works is not a substitute for viewing the real thing. Then again, didn’t the artist paint and draw so his efforts could be seen?

It’s times like these that I love technology.
